Bruised and loving it!

Posted by: ah su on: May 25, 2009

I have bruises all the way up and down my legs from training. But I really don’t care! This is nothing new for pole dancers.  I’m sure every polester has these and probably much worse.  So my legs are not gonna look good in miniskirts..haha, but it really doesn’t matter. And really, they don’t hurt much. Or at least, I’m not feeling it. Maybe I’m still high on the adrenaline rush..haha…
Here are some pics of some of my bruises…  They look really small here…and it’s a bit hard to get the full effect.  But imagine spots like these all the way up and down the legs.  I’m gonna start looking like a cow!  Or maybe a dalmatian…Hmm..hehe…
These are bruises on my inner right leg...

My body does have its usual aches and pains. My arms feel like they are of different lengths now because I don’t have time to train both sides equally. And as I’m typing this, they are still shaking a little and aching from tiredness.  My arms and upper body are generally not very strong, so learning the different hand grips are challenging for me, especially when I have to do a crash course in it!   These are moves people take months to learn.  Respect to everyone!

However, I learnt another new move today! Happy, happy, joy, joy!! I’m told it’s called The Cradle. Thanks to Lolita(Natesa), who’s in the fitpole category, who came to do some practising of her own. :) Thank you! Thank you! One thing I’ve noticed since getting into pole is how nice everyone seems to be. They are all passionate about what they do and are only to happy to share their knowledge. That is so invaluable to me, considering I am so clueless about actual pole technique. My thanks to everyone who has helped me in some way!
It’s late and I’m repeatedly listening to my music for the solo routine.  I haven’t actually managed to practise the moves with the music, and there’s still a long way for me to go in finishing it as I’m still figuring out what pole moves I can actually do too.  I haven’t worked on my solo part for the group dance yet.  Eeeks!!  Time is running out…

Gambatte Trinity! You’ve done great jobs learning those new moves. And you have really cool bruises there! Some ‘souvenirs’ from pole dancing, haha!
